Cumulative Update – 2/16/25

Wow, what a year it has been since my last post!

CFD Research graciously extended a job offer, which I accepted. I studied for, and passed, both the CySA+ and Pentest+ certification exams within a month of each other. I discovered and joined the local Huntsville DEF CON chapter DC256 (https://dc256.org/). Which they began doing pretty interesting seminars hosted in the back of the new GigaParts location, at the start of this year. Fiddled around with hardware hacking on what I had laying around. I also began my deep dive into Radio Frequency and figuring out how it works. Still working on that with some handheld radios and a HackRF One, which I mean to use for a goal of receiving images from the GOES weather satellites. Just have to figure out all the inner workings of the antennas, hardware, software, and how not to brick the HackRF on accident. Lastly, I recently got accepted into the Synack Red Team after four months of interviews, assessments, and background checks. What a boon to get into such a platform! Checks every last box of experience I wanted to learn outside of my own studies and projects.

It is a huge honor to be apart of all the communities, teams, and organizations that have accepted me as one of there own over the past year of my return home from my deployment. I am forever grateful to all the wonderful people I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with. Even more so, I am excited to continue the journey and keep growing in so many regards!
